That's not fair.
Anyway thanks Chingy (:
Normally I don't go all out to be caught in the rain, but now I just feel like sitting outside when it rains. If I get sick that may be a bonus. If I get really sick, it may be a bigger bonus.
If I get pneumonia or something and get hospitalised no one will ever know.
I love the song "Angie" by the Rolling Stones. It's on repeat, and I had it on repeat all the way home. I love the lyrics and it makes me think. It makes me wonder.
No I can't think. I can't wonder. I can only wait and see what happens. I'm suffering but it's all for a cause. Really? It's just really warped. I can't tell which way's up anymore. I can't tell what's right and what's wrong. Who's right and who's wrong. I can't make people happy anymore. I can't be the one and only person for someone to lean on. I can't, I can't.
I can't, or I'm not?
I'm not the only person for anyone anymore. I'm not able to make people happy anymore.
I don't know.
Alright I'm typing a lot of shit cause I really just want to talk to someone but there's no one, however I don't think my thoughts are coming out coherently.
nothing makes sense anymore.

CAN'T
SLEEP
yet again.
RAWRRR.
I'm just blanking out in front of my laptop, doing nothing. I haven't felt this way since.. well since the last time, which wasn't too long ago. I don't want this to be a common, oft-happening situation. But who am I to call the shots? I can't, no matter how I want to.
To be in control you musn't get sad, not affected by it at all, and that completely puts me out of the running.
Sometimes I wonder if this whole fucking situation affects you as badly as me.
Hell, I wonder if it affects you at all.
It's bad to be sort of kind of happy that other people are in almost the same boat as me, but thank you Chingy, for well just that (:
At least we won't be alone tomorrow, friend!
I don't want this. I'm stranded with no one to talk to. Whatever happened to "I'll be there for you" blah blah. Let me tell you something, children.
The only person you ever have to depend on is yourself.
No one else. Cause recently I've learnt something, no matter how close you are to people, when you're in a time of dire need, when you really need to talk to someone real badly, no one's there for you.
Best friends, boyfriends, close friends, fair weather friends.
Once I had someone, someone who was the closest I ever got to a true friend, one who would stop and drop everything when I needed him, one who would be there for me and who, though he had his faults, would try his damned fucking hardest for me. But I was stupid, and now he's there for someone else, would drop everything for someone else, and all because I was a stupid person who didn't know what she had til she didn't have it anymore.
Anyway, what doesn't kill you makes you stronger yeah? I seriously doubt keeping everything bottled up inside me will kill me within the next few years, so I'll come out of all this stronger. So by not being there for me, people, you're indirectly making me a stronger, more independant person (not that I need to be more independant haha)
Good one people.
I watched Death Note Two today, and I'm proud of myself; I still am fine on my own, doing things alone, even after not doing so for a long time.
I'm proud that I'm not overly-dependant on anyone and I'm pleased to say that I was not lonely at all while I was out today, no not once, not while I was watching the movie, nor walking up Orchard Road in the rain, no while commuting on extremely crowded transport when everyone else had friends and loved ones near.
But the nights kill me.

why? Why? WHY?
It isn't easy. I don't want to argue. I don't want to quarrel. I don't want to fight anymore.
I don't want to feel sad, I don't want you to feel sad.
I don't want to spend the night wondering what would happen next, ignoring someone who is too significant to ignore, and I hope you don't want to do that too.
Yet, we do.
Why?
Why can't we just be happy? Wasn't that all we wanted all along? All we ever wanted when we started out? To just be happy with each other, no matter what? Accept each other for who we were?
How things change. I wish I could just turn back the months, sometimes it seems the longer this goes on, the more I wish I could turn back to the preliminary and earlier stages of this.
And it's not supposed to be that way.
Aren't we meant to look forward to the future and the things it brings?
But I'm living in the past.
Where's my time machine?

Terence got bored while waiting.
We're filming dinosaurs, which explains the tall tripod.
Taking a picture of someone filming someone filming the leap of faith

Really. Why do I care anyway?
Why should I bother?
All of you mean nothing, absolutely nothing to me.
Pittance.
You all mean less to me than the price of gravel.
So why should you all bother me?
Stop mixing with my friends.
Stop mixing with my exs.
Stop mixing with my friends' exs.
You can be friends and all. But stop fawning over them like the sluts you are.
Go suck off a pig or something.
Especially you.
I shouldn't bother at all but I'm fucking pissed.

Sometimes it's the shattering of hopes and dreams, of the rosy picture that one has painted of something, that wakes someone up from the dream-like state that they seem to have been stuck in for a while.
Is that a good thing?
Would you rather be in that happy, carefree, deluded place, or would you like to see reality as it is?
Whip off your rose-tinted glasses, remove any pretty notions you may have, and take a deep breath of reality.
What happened to fun things, simple things that produced a child-like, carefree happiness, like riding on the bus forever, waking up early to walk in the morning sun, the feeling of cool water on warm skin as the pool water soothes limbs?
The ache you'd get when something felt so good it hurt?
Change is good, sometimes, but don't you wish you could win a time-out that allowed you to visit the past, no strings attached?
All the past happy times with whomever made you smile, just for a while, so you could maybe appreciate what you have now?
Where are you, oh where are you now, people of the past?
Questions, questions. Rhetorical , hypothetical, genuine or authentic, who's going to answer them?
you.

Or rather, sometimes the interactions between people on myspace makes me writhe up inside and makes my mind wonder.
I know Shakespere hates my emo poems but I don't care.
The bunch of us went to Upskirt Asia - ooh that's Upstream Asia Pte Ltd - today, it's a PR company, and boy does their PR suck. haha. I mean why chase us out just cause we were early? And a "boardroom" with only 6 chairs, so the majority of people had to stand in the tiny, walled-off cubicle? That's just not on.
Dentsu was so much better, and Dentsu is an advertising company. Rarrrrwhhh. Yes Dentsu pwnages, they put us in this huge-ass boardroom and gave us drinks and a proper presentation. Oh well.
Life kinda sucks now. It's real boring and mundane and I need more friends who I can hang out with, friends who don't care about what time I have to go home, cause some people sure do.
At least I'll have a reprive from all this, it just hit me when I was on the bus home that next Saturday I'll be leaving for KL and Phuket.
Chyessssss

Oh, I'm doing fine, thanks for not asking.
I'm teetering on the very fine line that divides sanity and breaking down. Balancing with my eyes closed, there's nothing to support me, no one's hand to grab, yes I think I'm alone.
I wish there was something to grab onto, some thin thread of hope, maybe, that I could visualise and reach out to, and hold on, hold on so tight.
But there's nothing.
No one's throwing me lifelines, do I expect anyone to? I guess I'll just have to pray I can hold on to this fragile situation and not let it escalate out of control and spiral down, down, down.
Oh, I look fine, of course I do. Maybe a little sadder and more subdued than usual.
Maybe peer a little closer you'll see my eyeliner smudged at the sides, hey, waterproof eyeliner can only hold up that much.
Should I even keep count? I can tell you how many days, hours and minutes it's been.
-Only I'll take a little while, since I'm perfectly crap at math, like many other things in life.
I'm perfectly fine.
Of course I am.
I'm fine.
I don't think so.
But it turned out to be true, and so today Chingy, Mervy and Fatboy skipped everything. Luckily, Terence was being a good boy and he stayed in school, so the two of us slacked through IPRA and Econs lectures, drawing on tables, running out halfway during IPRA to buy food, playing with laser pointers, eating and destroying pencils. Then we flipped a coin - a US dime to be exact - and it was "heads we don't go for Web Publishing and tails we don't go for WP.
The coin ended up on heads so we didn't go for Worker's Party, and I went home reaaall early.
And I just heard from Nicolette that this week's WP was pretty important, as they were learning more MX Flash, and there would be a test on it next week ):
Franklin Delano Roosevelt, I am never going to vote for you as president ever again. Never mind that you're dead and all. If you weren't on the dime that we flipped, we might have gone to Web Publishing!
Isn't that some emo song? Or some pseudo-emo-indie-xcore-sxe-psychedelic-spacy-trip-hop song? Like the one with the starting that goes "dum dumdadumdadadadum".
ok never mind.
I have Rajan's class at 8am tomorrow, or rather, later today, which means I have to be up at 5am. I'm going to get less than 4 hours of sleep once again, which will result in me sleeping right through IPRA and Econs lectures, which would be because I'd have exerted considerable self-control to stay awake for Rajan.
Urgh.
It doesn't help that I can't sleep. I was lying in my bed with all the lights out and I got out again, turned Larry on and well, now I'm surfing around aimlessly after enabling the "civillians carry weapons", "civillian riot" and finally "everyone's elvis" cheats in GTA and watching the ensuing mess.
I've realised how long nights are. Sometimes I envy people who can just sleep at 10pm, or maybe 11pm, and wake up normally the next day. Other times I pity them, because at night it's just so different, so peaceful, so empty
-yet you don't feel alone.
Or maybe you do.
I'm feeling how lonely nights can be now.
My phone is so quiet, so neglected.
The smallest things make me cry stupidly.
Trivial things make me tear.
I'm pretty much a loser, no matter how tough and strong I act.
I guess night time's a great release for me, when I've gone back to my room and I'm alone, everything that I've kept bottled up during the day and the evening can come tumbling out, no holds barred. I can cry whenever I want to, when something sets me off. I've been such a fountain recently it's a wonder I haven't cried myself dry.
When your local ahlian/ahbeng tells you that
~`LuRBvE HuRtxX'~
you better fucking believe them.

..maybe just a little too much.
As a line in a Poison song goes:
"if I bare my soul, don't you break my heart"
but you have, sort of.
Maybe sometimes it's better to just lie.
I shouldn't bare my soul to you, nor to anyone else completely. It only produces trouble, not just for me but I guess for everyone.
I know it's not the best of times to start crying, I should just go to sleep, there's school tomorrow and my eyes will look like shit. Also, maybe it'd all be better in the morning.
At least I hope so.
I'm such a pathetic loser anyway.

My hands are shaking, my vision's blurred and my eyes are all wet
'Cause I don't know what to say to you anymore
I don't know why we're like this,
it's so different now, from our first kiss
And I don't know what to do about it anymore.
I know I've tried, I think you have too, but it's not easy.
Are you afraid of what might happen? I know I'm real scared, just please don't leave me.
'Cause I don't know what will happen if we don't believe
I don't know what's going wrong with us,
can we get by with just faith and trust?
Is it possible that I'm too naive?
Saturday, November 25, 2006
YOU BETTER THANK ME whahhaha ok, ok rubbish.
I passed econs! For CA1. There's still CA2 and CA3, and I'm real screwed cause I don't know anything else hahaa.
Anyway, are you happy?
I've realised that no one makes me really, throughly, truly, completely happy anymore. Now don't get me wrong, lots of people make me happy and I'm blessed and thankful that I know all the people whom I know, all my wonderful friends, my dear best friend, my beloved boyfriend..
But no one makes me completely happy. Often I laugh and make a lot of noise, but inside, I don't think I'm completely fulfilled.
Are we all like this? Are any of us completely happy?
Are you?

It's rather nice, I've been sleeping on and off the whole day, and I could get used to that, I think. Sleep is rare to me most times. However, in between sleep, in between dreams, it's not so awesome, cause I start to think. And you know how I can always think too much.
Anyway I was thinking that the world looked real nice outside the window. Like it was sunny, and if I thought and imagined hard enough, I could make-believe that it was cold outside, too. Just the weather I like, cold but sunny. It was so wonderful that I almost made myself believe in it wholeheartedly, and I very almost got up to go take a walk outside, would you believe that? But no, it's just my mind at work, deceiving me again, and it was a major letdown.
I miss weather like that. I miss countries with weather like that.
Also, I was thinking (yes, still), and I realised that I've drifted apart from so many people. Now it can't always be my fault, and solely mine, can it?
Relationships take work from both parties, and lately in a number of my relationships I haven't seen that work from both sides.
God knows that I've tried, especially for once such friendship that means a lot to me. All the times we used to spend talking, the things we've been through?
All for nothing? Now we hardly even talk anmore.
What if it was never really meant to be in the first place?
I have to steel myself to even think of that. But what if it's true? What if?

This is Betty/Bob.
Betty has cool hair.
Hamizah made a new friend.
"mmm..baaald!"
Chen Yan the major Ahbeng
That's a real cool cap.
Now that's just plain mean. Doesn't anyone think of the feelings of painted canaries anymore?
Terence almost died four times today. Two of which were captured on video.

Oh dream on. I am, I am dreaming. I know it's irrational and stupid and why can't I just change myself and it won't affect anyone around me, but I don't want to. I guess I just need someone to confide in. I don't know, I'm really bored with life at the moment. Nothing's moving and there's hardly anything to look forward to. I can't just smile and pretend and put on a mask and be someone whom I'm not.
I know the solution to all this, one which would affect no one but myself - that seems to be the best option to everything doesn't it? - just ignore everything, and switch off.

I mean, seriously. If a group of people, or a person, is doing an interview, the good, proper, POLITE thing to do will be to wait patiently and quietly until the person is finished.
But noooo. Basic etiquette and graciousness have completely eluded some people. Classmates, to pinpoint a specific group of people.
It is generally frowned upon to freeload on people's interview. We do all the thinking, we ask all the questions, we were the ones who have exerted all the effort.
It is not nice to hover around the group doing the interview and record the whole thing on say, a camera, or an mp3 recorder. It is not nice when you just listen and make no effort to ask any questions. It is not nice when you do both at the same time.
It is not nice when you ask stupid questions that just display how imcompetant you are, and show that you were not listening when the speaker was talking. Neither is it nice to cut in while another group is interviewing and ask your own rambling, vague questions and hog the speaker.
Nope. It certainly is not nice.

It kinda occurred to me, Aza and Merv yesterday whilst discussing the double diploma option that DMC offers, that a lot, and I seriously really mean a LOT of our classmates don't know about it. Why! One of the main reasons why DMC appealed was the prospect of maybe, just maybe, taking the double diploma and graduating with two diplomas.
But why don't they know about it? The diploma in question is the Specialist Diploma in Digital Film and Television. Now, if you'd just been accepted into a tertiary institution and you'd be spending three years (and a lot of money) there, wouldn't you want to research and find out more about the course that you'd be taking? But nooo, they don't.
Rather amazing, really, how people take things for granted. Considering the fact that Aza, Mervyn and I had to worm our way into the Media and Communications course through phone calls, letter requests and interviews, well, I can't help feeling a little irritated that others are so blase about their acceptance into the course.
I remember when I got the call from Singapore Polytechnic informing me that I'd gotten through the interview and was in the DMC course, I was so happy I cried, standing in the lobby of Meritus Mandarin Hotel, and had to run back into the office real quick. While I was terribly happy I'd gotten into the course, lots of people in my class did not even have Singapore Poly DMC course as their first choice of school/course!
It's a major case of taking things for granted and not realising how lucky they are.
Speaking of which, I've been doing a lot of thinking (yes what's new, over the wrong things again huh) and I've realised another big aspect of our lives we all take for granted. No, not the peace and stability of Singapore, this applies to at least a third of the world's population.
Quick, go find information on Bahamas. Hotels, food, prices, nightlife, beaches - I want it all. Where would you go to look for that information? Why, just open your internet browser and type "bahamas" into Google. Or Yahoo, or Lycos or any other search engine. Half a second later, you get pages and pages of information on anything related to Bahamas.
Have you ever wondered where we'd be today without the internet? It's such a key part of your life now (yes you reading this, without the internet you wouldn't be at this page) that we tend to take it for granted. We turn to the internet for boundless information and entertainment.
Just stop for a moment and think. If I take away all computers, block the internet, then set you a 500 word essay on the eating habits of the people of Papua New Guinea, you wouldn't be able to do it. You'd have to go down to the library and use what we call encyclopedias. And even then, the information won't be up-to-date, and accessible to everyone.
Ok, so you may be thinking. How many times in my life will I be looking for information on the mating habits of dung beetles? But we use the internet for information in so many other ways too. Say, for example, you have a song bouncing around in your head, but you only know the first line of the chorus, and you don't know the title or anything else about the song. Just use a search engine and you'd be able to get the title, artist, record label and date the song was released.
Even something small that'd nag at the edge of your mind, for instance the name of the brother Gibb who wasn't in the BeeGees, can be found easily in half a second and spare you a lot of annoyance.
I'm not saying we should have an "Internet Awareness and Appreciation Day", but the next time you open your internet browser to search for information, or look for entertainment and stress relief, just stop for a while to think.
Where would we be without the internet?
Think about that. Then realise how fortunate we are.
Don't take it for granted.

I'm loving Digital Video Production and Applications more and more. Apparently, according to Ms Kwa, I'm a good camera person! P4WN4G3 haha. I like the role of Director too, but I've only tried it once.
Do you know what happens when a T-Rex has sex with a Triceratops? You get Terence Chen! Yes, this new species of dinosaur named "Terence" has been discovered in Mongolia, according to Aza, live on SBTV. Hahha.
Our new best friend's name is Jonathan! He's this 19 year old guy who attends some classes with us, he forwarded a few modules because of medical reasons, and today he asked Chen Yan and I if we wanted him to "bring us to T7", where our GEMs were.
At first Chingy and I misunderstood, we thought he wanted to walk with us over in case we n00bs got lost, then we realised, Jonathan has a CAR, and he was offering to drive us! WHOAAAA. Anyway it was damn fun zooooommmming from Sch of Business to the Triple E grounds, Jonathan drove damn fast down the hill and, as Merv said, it was like a roller coaster! :D
You cannot take Jonathan away. He's ours, OURS you hear!
NYEAH!
Recently Merv and I have been feeling rather jaded. I'm tired and tired and sick of day-to-day routines.
Monday, October 02, 2006
So today we played a game. Take any song title - any one - and add "In My Pants" after it. You can get ridiculously idiotic stuff like "Making A Mess in my pants", "Oops I Did It Again in my pants", "No Such Thing in my pants", "Garden of Eden in my pants", "Mama I'm Coming Home in my pants".. and well, you get the idea.
It was really fun, and kept us amused all the way after Issues and Viewpoints to Jurong Point for lunch.
After lunch we bought wasabi for 50 cents and we went back to school, where Chen Yan, Mervyn and Aza played Sissors, Paper, Stone, and the loser had to eat gobs of wasabi. That got boring after a while, yes stuffing wasabi into your mouth does get boring after the fifth time, so we dared Aza to snort a mixture of soy sauce and wasabi with a rolled-up plastic $2 note, and guess what, the mad shit did it!
Wasabi Part One!
Part two!
Snort it, bitch!!

Rawwwrrrhhhh school tomorrow AGAINAGAIN :(
Last semester the days just flew by, but this semester the days just seem to draaaaaaaaaaag by. Why why why!
After Saturday's gig at Vintage, with cheap drinks and good music, it's going to be even harder to ease back into the rather senseless ratrace, with the only saving grace being Friday's Digital Video Production and Applications class.
But that's on Fridays. So there'll still be Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday to get through.
Plus Gordon's starting school again this Tuesday, and his lessons are from 3pm to 6pm. hjgfjklfjjlfadfsdg fgtur.
And my neck hurts from headbanging too much last night, but it was allll worth it babayyyyyy.

So after IVP today we went to Jurong Point, as we'd finished an hour early and we were given the unexpected surprise of a three-hour break. We visited Toys R' Us, where we bought new friends!

fucking dinosaurs

The little green men

It was all fun and games down on the farm.
My dinosaurs are Arthur, Banana, Ontario, Sera and Nacho.
Vintage gig this Saturday. Just the thing I need after a week of school. Urgh, killer school.
It used to be that I hated secondary school, and my friends made it tolerable. Now, school is tolerable, and my friends make it fun (:
-So I guess it could be much worse.
Anyway Merv called us "the jackasses" on his blog, and I'm inclined to agree. haha.
School starts at 8am tomorrow, which means rising before the fucking sun, at 5:45am ):
boo!

Slash was drunk/stoned, and played half of everything wrong, he changed into hot shorts halfway through the concert, Axl jumped a member of the audience halfway through the concert and then left the stage..
Yup it's GnR alright.
Hey motherfuckers! Suck on Guns N' Fucking Roses!
Axl's life story and Slash changes into hot sexy shorts!
*phwarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr*
Do YOU know where you are?
(I can't find the footage of the song before, where Slash decides to change to shorts and disappears, if you have it send me the link?)
The St. Louis Incident happened when Axl spotted a person in the crowd with a video camera, when apparently tickets sold specified that no cameras were allowed. Security did nothing, so Axl took matters into his own hands and a riot ensued after he refused to perform further and left the stage.
Riot footage can be found here:

b-o-r-e-d
bored
bored
Introduction to Communication Principles exam sucked ass.
And balls. And tits. And whatever you want it to suck. I'm sure it'll comply. Willingly. Happily too, maybe. No, I know so. It told me so. Uh yes it did. Yesterday, after I ate your mother's dinner and threw it up in the potted plant next to the toilet sink, and washed up in the laundry room. It approached me. Silently. Swiftly. Stealthily. Surreptitiously. Sassily. Wearing your sister's silver sparkly sandals. It demanded bribes and when I said all I had was a handful of dreams and a spoonful of experiences, it crossed my palm with silver and told me. Told me everything. Everything you'd never dream of knowing but would sell your toenails to find out.
I hope I pass.
Then I wouldn't have to do the damn subject anymore.
Positive thinking! I will pass, I WILL pass, I will PASS.
I should make up something. Like an acronym for BORED.
something like:
Baby Otters Read Every Day.
but that's BORing.
Barbarians Organise Red Earwig Dances.
Brothers Ostracise Retarded Eyeless Donkeys.
and then I saw her standing there, with green eyes and long blond hair. she wasn't wearing underwear and I could see that this girl's not the one blah blah blah turn and run blah blah yah yah na na na na naaaaaaaahhh
oh won't someone, someone please talk to a poor little Nic?

Nice boys don't play rock and roll
I'll bet your mamma said,
Nice boys don't play rock and roll
I'm not a nice boy!
do you ever get the feeling sometimes people don't trust you?
or don't want to tell you things, though you may care, care so much?
whatever
whatever
whatever.
maaaaaaaaaaaaan.
My dog killed a bird today and my brother's real proud of him.
But we're all wondering how Kaiya managed to do it, we weren't home.
We have doubts.
I feel isolated.
Tuesday, August 15, 2006
Well that's an additional day to procrastinate!
I know I shouldn't.
argh.
I have an urgh to do something crazy with either Gordon or Dong. Or both! :D
Crazy fun, not crazy stupid or something.
But everyone's so busy now!
It's projects and exams. I should be studying too ):
booooyaaaaa.
Anyway this worked for Dong and Mervyn, apparently, so I shall give it a whirl.
1. Put your music player on shuffle.
2. Press forward for each question.
3. Use the song title as the answer to the question even if it doesn't make sense. NO CHEATING!
How are you feeling today?
Sticky Side Up - Steelheart
Will you get far in life?
Slowdance on the Inside - TBS
How do your friends see you?

HELLO STRANGER.
haha yes yes you are pretty damn much like a stranger to me now. I haven't really properly spoken to you for so fucking long, half the time I don't know what's going on with you anymore, a far cry from before ): sad eh?
-lets change this!
Today I was bored and I was home quite early after ITB test, and I started reading your blog, from your very first post in July 2005!
WOW.
And I've realised that now I know exactly what you're talking about when you mention certain lecturers, and weird-assed-acronymed modules from school.
I've also realised that I used to be a hell lot closer to you even before I met you face-to-face than I am now, and that's not good, no not good at all.
I miss you, I really do!
Remember we used to fucking crap so much rubbish online and when we used to hang out, remember our "two minute marriage" to beat britney spears?
remember, remember, remember?
Aiyohhhhhhhhhhh Doooooooooongggg..
Anyway I wanted to tell you all this earlier when you came online, but then you said you were sick and needed to sleep, so I decided to spew my guts here in case I don't get a chance to tell you later.
Take care of yourself, sick boy, haha I'm sick too, I just coughed and my green solid-y looking olive green phlegm was laced with RED.
Bloooooddddddd!
besties, still? please?

She won't be coming back.
There's something very cathartic about talking it out, purging feelings and emotions to an empty room, hearing my voice resound and echo off the walls.
And I've learnt to release, to let go, I've exonerated myself, liberated.
I'm vindicated
I'll miss you, but I'll be alright. (:
I've let go.
